Herbal Tea which is used to soothe my cough

Today is free and easy day. We have no lessons or excursions. Everyone took this opportunity to recharge and sleep throughout the whole morning as we are all sleep deprived. Many of us did not have sufficient sleep as we are burning midnight oil to try finish up our project which is due on Tuesday. I slept till 11.30am I did my final report for the project. I did my part and send it to Yan Ting to continue on her part. We left our dorms at 2plus and took bus 702 to 老鼠街 to shop. We alighted at a bus stop before老鼠街 and explored the place ourselves. Some went to Chicony Shopping Mall while Cynthia & I decided to shop at the street stalls outside as the price is relatively cheaper. I bought a huge duffle bag which is a steal as it is only RMB$19. Soon Ling got hers at RMB$45 yesterday and the size is almost the same as the one I bought. The shop was having a close down sale so every bag in the shop was going for RMB$19. After that, we walked down to老鼠街 as it is only a bus station away from the place we are at. We reached老鼠街 and we bought socks which cost only RMB$10 for 7 pairs. I bought RMB$20 worth of socks and I told the aunty to give me an extra pair. I bought shirts and a bowl of fried rice. On our way to take a bus back to campus, we entered a shop selling bags at RMB$29 and were tempted to buy. Cynthia, Soon Ling & I bought bags and we took a private bus 306 back to campus.

Personal Reflection:

Today i suddenly feel that my bargaining skills has increased after 4 weeks in wuhan. Just keep bugging the aunty and tell her that you are just a poor student or that she give us a 'friendly' price which is 友情价 and we will bring our friends over to her stall to buy things in future. Bargaining skills is essential when you shop in china as they mostly offer you a price that is marked up 100% to 200% so in order to get the maximum out of your money, you will have to bargain with the shopkeeper.
