Today we met up 1pm to take a coach to head to the port to take a cruise. I believe most of them had enough sleep but I do not as I was burning midnight oil trying to rush through all my blog posts so as to not accumulate many posts after the cruise. My bunk mates and I nearly couldn’t wake up in time as we were too exhausted. We woke up at 12 and wash up till 12.30pm. We went to 堕落街 to grab a quick bite. I ordered a bowl of fried rice and soya milk to eat on the bus. The bus ride was very bumpy and we had a hard time trying not to spill our food. We brought lots of snacks, instant noodles and water which we bought the previous day at Walmart. The journey to the port to take the cruise is very long. We took 2 stops at 2 respective rest stations and we also stopped for lunch at 宜昌. We had lunch at a restaurant and the food was good. I love the egg tofu with clams. It was very silky and smooth. It was finished before we can all have a second serving. The fish was fresh but it has a lot of bones so many of us do not dare to eat it. After lunch, we continued our journey which lasted for around 7hours. It was super boring on the bus so many of us slept on the bus. Many of us had cramps after the ride. We passed by 3 different tunnels and finally reached the port at around 8plus. We brought our baggage and checked in to the cruise As we did not walk closely together, other tourists cut into our line and the rest behind could not enter as the personnel could not confirm our number of people. Therefore, 6 of us and Miss Neo who already passed the gate went forward first while the tour guide tried to talk things out with the personnel in charge. After much waiting and negotiating with the person, the others finally managed to enter and we checked into our rooms. We paid RMB$20 deposit for the room keys. My room is 434 and I share it with Soon Ling. Our room is located near the stairs leading to the uppermost deck so we went up to take a look but there was nothing except stars and the moon as it was already pitch black. We went back to our rooms and watched the television till we fall asleep.

Personal Reflection:

Today I had a sudden reflection upon myself that I’m starting to adapt to the food of the china. The fried rice is oily but I just eat it as per normal. I think it is due to the environment we are in that’s why I’m starting to do such changes and my body is slowly adapting. I also feel that today we should not have lag behind and follow closely behind each other to prevent such cases from happening again as it is very dangerous if some of us board and the ship moves off without the rest. It would be very inconvenient for the tour guide to keep asking us to move forward and keep close so I feel that we should reflect on ourselves and move closely together as a group.
